Web Applications
- Short-term, high pressure project to launch a new marketing web-site for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (www.getbluema.com). Responsible for html, css & javascript development and subsequent migration into a content management system. Worked on Design Concepts for a visualization tool for evaluating different health care plans [Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Boston, MA]
- ASP.NET based application for Insurance Claims Processing. Customer had legacy ASP application used by it's internal call centers but wanted to expand service to end-user. A total redesign of the user interface was required as well as migration of front-end to ASP.NET 3.5
Windows Applications
- Software for a bio-tech instrument [Decision Biomarkers, Waltham, MA]
- .NET Application for managing a multi-language lexical database. Includes an interface to search engines (MSN & Altavista); import/export tools, and summary statistics generation [ForWord, Seattle, WA]
Cross-platform Development
- The development of a Network Security Product that monitors both network traffic and storage for content violations (e.g., credit card numbers). Wrote a remote discovery agent that was installed and run on client machines from a central server. Responsible for the architecture and implementation of a “Data Access Layer” which provided a unified API to a disparate data sources including file systems, databases and http servers. Developed a Java-based controller layer for the server that used the Quartz scheduler to control job execution [Vericept, Waltham, MA]
- Development work on a Surgical Navigation Workstation. Designed and implemented a plug-in manager to enable greater code sharing within the product line. Re-architected the platform software to conform to a component-based structure [GE Healthcare, Lawrence, MA]
Windows System Software
- New feature development for Windows Group Policy Management Software. 1) Development of Dial-up/VPN policy feature; 2) Application Rights Management Feature; 3) Web based access to Group Policy for computers that are not part of the domain or temporarily disconnected [Full Armor, Boston, MA]
- Contributing development on a medical information system that provides seamless integration of multiple applications including single sign-on and integrated context (e.g., patient) switching; [Sentillion, Andover, MA]
